Leadership Oakland (LO), a program of the
Oakland Metropolitan Chamber of Commerce since
1991, is currently accepting applications for
the class of 2009-2010.

LO combines leadership skill training with an
educational opportunity for participants to
learn, share perspectives and broaden their
understanding of community dynamics and public
issues.
The purpose of Leadership Oakland is three-fold:
1) LO provides participants with a working
knowledge
of Oakland;
2) LO builds a
network
of colleagues with similar interests from
diverse professional and
personal backgrounds, and
3) LO gives participants the
know-how
to serve on boards and commissions in both the
City
and in non-profit organizations.
