Summer Youth Employment
Program |
As the
"stimulus"-supported
Summer Youth
Employment Program
goes into full gear,
there remains an
opportunity for your
business to serve
as a worksite for a
young person
(between the ages of
14 and 24) -with no
cost to you!
Crystal Jackson, the
Oakland Private
Industry Council's
Summer Youth Program
Coordinator, will
refer your request
to an appropriate
service provider (9
have been funded
thus far) who just
may be able to refer
the perfect
candidate! This is
an unusual
opportunity to
stimulate the
economy while
providing subsidized
employment
experience to an
Oakland youth.
Note that all
business sectors are
eligible to
participate:
for-profit,
non-profit,
government,
education, labor,
etc.
If you are
interested in
learning more please
