Letter from the President
Dear members and friends,

Oakland welcomes Police Chief Anthony Batts...our hats off to him for digging right in and working for safe streets in Oakland!

Support for all businesses is a core objective of your Chamber.  Two recent initiatives - the Mayor's Task Force on Small Business and the Oakland Partnership (which has a goal of creating 10,000 new jobs in Oakland) - have both called for increased business support in Oakland. And now we are pleased to say that the Oakland Business Assistance Center is a reality! Read more...

"The Oakland Metropolitan Chamber of Commerce China trip was by far the best travel value I have ever experienced. The opportunity to experience a culture so different from our own and learn the history of China was a wonderful experience I won't ever forget. Also, traveling with other Oakland business leaders made the trip even more enjoyable."
