The Oakland region’s Green Industry Cluster is comprised of a variety of key institutions and companies, including the University of California, Berkeley; Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory, and a host of emerging green technology companies including: Amyris Biotechnologies; Borrego Solar; Blue Ski Bio-fuels; EarthSource Forest Products; Sun, Light & Power; Orion Energy; Taylor Engineering; Weiss Associates; VBN Architects; and a host of other environmental engineering, geotechnical, design, and consulting firms.
The Green Technology Cluster Group has identified and is working on a number of strategic initiatives with the objective of capturing more of the emerging green tech and clean technology industries in Oakland and the region.
